Reasons People Spend Big On Botox

By Marla Nordina

These days we live in a world where external appearances seem to create first impressions. We all wish to look younger than we are, and are willing to go to great lengths to regain our youth. Botox is one such way to help rejuvenate the skin and get rid of those horrible lines and wrinkles, and armed with this knowledge people all over the world seem to be getting botox injections to their face almost regularly now!

In the past, improving one's appearance was all about getting some form of plastic surgery that actually involved one to go under the knife. After a surgery, it can be weeks until the patient is fully recovered. It would even take months before any sort of effect showed. Because of botox, this kind of procedure is no longer necessary. In a report that was published by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2012, there was a marked increase in the use of minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as botox injection, while there was a decline in the total number of cosmetic surgeries performed.

Why is this the case?

Plastic surgery is much more expensive, so botox gives someone with a lower economic status the ability to get treatments. For many reasons, botox is becoming more mainstream, but one of the biggest reasons is that it's much faster, safer, and cheaper than having a plastic surgery, which is way more invasive.

However, it does appear that the entire 'botox culture' seems to have been taken on by members of a more affluent society. Media loves to print stories about famous people who appear to have had botox treatments.

What factors made botox to well-known?

It's safe to say that botox treatments are a huge part of modern cosmetic surgery clinics. The ease of administration, the absence of in-hospital stay for the procedure, its effects and its low cost make it an attractive option when it comes to treating fine lines and wrinkles. Not only do people use these treatments for aesthetic reasons, they are also being used to help blepharospasm, spastic paraplegias, and other kinds of muscle spasms.

Benefits from these kinds of treatments are noticeable for months down the line. When a patient is highly satisfied with the results of their procedure, they are much more likely to promote the procedure to their acquaintances and other people they know.

Botox makes such a huge difference in the lives of those who get the treatments that they are visibly happier and feel more confident, and because of this, more and more people are giving botox a try.

  1. They spend that much on Botox, because they want to stop aging and having a fresh look even if they are not young anymore.
Personally, I'm also thinking to go for a Botox treatment in Toronto by Dr. Jerome Edelstein. I want to get rid of my wrinkles and I think that a procedure like this will help me.
